Temple day!

Went with a lovely guide on a trip round a lot of significant temples in the area.  Many very old indeed. We had to wear sarongs to go in but I won’t post embarrassing tourist in sarong pictures. This was the second temple which had a spring in the centre of it from which radiated many pools.  There were loads of people bathing including many tourists.  I loved this place which was the actual spring which had swallows diving and diving for the water.  Hard to catch them on camera but there are a few at the bottom of the picture.  Drove home via a village where the defining industry is mask making, this is a thing in Bali they have artisan villages where everyone does one thing.  Vikram was very interested in masks and the guy was clearly brilliant. He was also a dancer so brought the masks to life.  I bought Vik a very old mask and a newer, very simple one for myself (not that keen on masks). Everyone charming and as usual fun to be in someone’s workshop and village and see a bit of life in Bali. Really special day and not too wet !   I had to do a call when I got back and got a frantic text from Vikram saying not to come out fo the room as there were about 14 monkeys on our roof and balcony. He had to call security!
