Celebrity Solstice

Into the city for a day or two. The smoke (except for a slight residual haze) seems to have packed up and moved to Melbourne. Sorry guys. The clouds you see in the background are just that.

The "Celebrity Solstice" is in port at the moment although there seems to be several new cruise ships a week these days. That's an industry that appears to be thriving - at least for now.  That's something at least

The extras include a shot of the interior of the new trams. I took my first ride today from Central to the Quay.

The latest Blue Mountains fire bulletins sound excellent. All nearby blazes have now been declared "under control" and progressively certain local fires are dropping off the RFS list altogether, given they are now officially "out" .The consistent light rain, (which has certainly helped) is predicted to become genuinely heavy and soaking in the week to come. The issue now (and the media has ensured that there'll always be a juicy "issue" to keep everyone anxious) is the worry of ash being washed into reservoirs and dams by the coming downpours. Sigh.
