A special treat

We have come to a very special place for a double celebration of LooseCanon’s 70th birthday  today , and our wedding anniversary tomorrow before he goes off to start his voyage to Antarctica tomorrow.
Massive Phew re the saving of FlyBe airline with whom he has the first leg of his trip , from Birmingham to Paris.
We are at the Two Michelin star Manoir au Quat’Saisons in Oxfordshire. It is very luxurious.
The weather is pretty dull wet and windy so we had a quick whizz round the gardens before getting stuck into the Champagne. 
The wicker fungi caught my eye. In the background is one of the many sculptures scattered around. 
We were lucky enough to meet M Blanc on the way in. He seems very friendly ,hands on  and completely unpretentious.
