Mummy hazelh heads home

I waved Mummy hazelh off this morning when she took the 10:00 Kings Cross Azuma service as far as Newcastle. There my not-so-little sister picked her up by Volvo to drive her home. On arrival, they shared the lunch that I had packed for the pair of them: they very much enjoyed their Crombies pies. My sister will stay at my mother's house until the weekend. Then my mother will be on her own until Mr hazelh and I pay her a visit the weekend after next.

With my new found freedom, on my way back home I did a little shopping and then returned some library books. I'm pleased to report that I found a small black leather handbag that meets my precise requirements in John Lewis - hurrah!

This afternoon I helped Mr hazelh select photos for our 2019 photo book, then we paid a visit to visited the Scottish National Portrait Gallery to see the work of the finalists in the BP Portrait Award 2019. We were very impressed with the exhibition. A few of the paintings look just like photographs, so we felt obliged to examine these very carefully.

When we came home I took to my exercise bike, and Mr hazelh to the rowing machine.

Exercise today: 1 hour on exercise bike; walking (15,210 steps).
