Beaufort Scale

Well we survived the night. It sounded pretty wild out there and, using my own garden furniture version of the Beaufort Scale, it was a 5/6 category storm. The river at the park was higher today than I’ve ever seen it before but I didn’t see any trees down anywhere round the village.

In other news, the heating is working intermittently and a plumber is coming on Friday.
