A Spider Would A-Wooing Go
I was looking at the interesting lichen pattern on one of my clothesline poles when I noticed a small flattened jumping spider climbing the pole beside a crack. He was rather hesitant. Suddenly a female popped out of the crack. They interacted briefly before both disappeared into the crack. He went willingly. I don’t think he was going to be eaten. Otherwise she would have clutched him from below, making a meal of him without leaving her lair.
The crack opening is 3mm wide. More detail in full screen.
