Peter Mac Revisited
Today I met up with the lovely Treehugger at Peter Mac in the new Comprehensive Cancer Treatment Centre. I was interested to see it as i had worked at Peter MacCallum for 14 years starting out in the original building in Little Lonsdale Street after qualifying as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist. Many friendships were made there and i am still friendly with a lot of my former colleagues.
The architecture is impressive and so different from the old concrete block in the city. We had lunch in the roof top garden restaurant. Unfortunately, it was too windy to eat outside but here is the Treehugger in the extra showing me the garden. I had a delightful time catching up with my friend. She is no longer blipping but I am so glad that Blipfoto brought us together. I also called into the Imaging department and saw a couple of former colleagues that are still working there before walking to Victoria Market where i had left Hubby so that TH and i could have a good chinwag.
After dinner we visited the daughter and son-in-law of the friend we are staying with to see their new house. I had had a really lovely day, topped off by walking 10, 000 steps without back pain. I recently had some Chinese acupuncture treatment which has really helped with my mobility.
