Free Beer......

A dry start but a lot of heavy rain later on. Had to go next door to help wee brother jag some more calves with pneumonia. It seems to be working it’s way through them despite being vaccinated against it. However I don’t think they are as sick as they would have been unvaccinated . Some high temps- 103-105f ( normal is 101.5) so gave them some Metacam as well as the antibiotic.
An afternoon spent moving slurry from the slatted shed up to the storage tower.
This Auctermuchty stout was a gift from Mr M when I called in to see my cousin, Mrs M , on the way back from Aberdeen last week. He is in the process of setting up a micro brewery and these are samples to judge consumer feed back. Not a bad drop, but maybe a wee bit out of my usual comfort zone beer wise !
The bottle opener is one of a very old pair of bottle openers that used to belong to my granny . This one says Newcastle , the other one says Blue Star.
