Abstract Thursday 238 Macro

Today's theme, set by our host Ingeborg, is macro, so leaving the taking of a shot until after dark was not the best idea for lighting. I tried several ideas ( a dried hydrangea, a jewelled placemat and a tulip) and the tulip won, as this flower so often does, in all its phases.  I tweaked my picture in Picasa, giving the tulip a colour change to an impossible blue and hopefully giving it a more abstract feel.
