Pride in Pentonville - 170 years.

A commemorative whistle for staff at HMP Pentonville for it's 170th birthday this year. These whistles (made by ACME) are still a vital piece of kit used by staff in Victorian prisons to this day. Due to the design of Victorian prisons, a whistle alarm can be heard by staff all over the prison and help can be with you in a matter of seconds. A very simple, but fantastic (and necessary) part of our uniform.
