KESTREL....

.... is back on the hunt!

Been awhile since any of the Nankeen Kestrels have been around, but driving out this arvo there it was on a light pole scanning around for it's dinner. They are such a majestic part of the raptor family. 

Thankyou all so much for the support yesterday of the excellent work the Black Cockatoos have done in showing the way with the magnificent rain .
It is still around and as always we seem to go from one extreme to another - after the drought here Sydney many suburbs along the coastal belt were deluged today and flash flooding caused heaps of issues.

The Australian Reptile reserve on the Central Coast after all but being burnt out later last year, today was flooded out with a lot of animals having to be moved to higher ground.

We are still needing rain in a lot of areas but boy it has been a god send for so many of the fire areas.
