Flaming Beauty

The Amaryllis bud shown a few days ago has now four open blooms in a lovely dark red. There is a second stem growing a little each day.

The tone of these flowers is a beautiful deep red, but the lighting is so poor today that I needed extra lighting which takes away the deepness of the red. These flowers are quite small, but no less lovely than the others that bloomed for Christmas Day.

Update: I'm feeling very good with the extra walking combined with healthy eating habits (low on carbs, no sugar, virtually no saturated fats)
