Iris

We had a sunny morning, which I frittered away on the computer, and then doing some sorting of the large pile of washing that is the inevitable result of a holiday.  So by the time I was thinking about photos, it had clouded over, and shortly after, it rained.  So I was limited to an indoor blip. 

TonyG very kindly brought some iris from his garden when he was staying earlier in the week.  They are now opening, and very pretty. 

I'm afraid the species name went over my head when Tony was talking about them - perhaps he can provide us with it?
