Thursday night out

Wow, second work week of the year over! The day was short - just three hours in the office. I had intended to do another hour at home but time ran away and before I knew it, we were racing to Awana.

All 25 showed up again today; eager beavers! some lessons are sinking in, others - we need more time. G has given all the helpers their own little group of kids to work with and it went really well.

We met up with Miriam for a Lebanese meal afterwards. She is on her way back to the States and as we've all been here for so long, we chose the 2nd December (Al Diyafah) Street to hang out on. The restaurant we chose (Beirut) did not disappoint. We ordered our usual favourites and also tried a couple of new things (hummus with pine nuts and spicy potatoes). Sadly time ran out and we couldn't finish the evening off with a little trip to Baskin Robbins. I got a quick shot of the street - all decorated for Dubai Shopping Festival - as we walked back to the car.

Home too late to contemplate blipping. There were more pressing things that needed to be done.
