The Watch House

It was so good to see some sunshine today. To escape the mud and floods at home we headed for the coast and had a lovely day walking around the Lepe and Calshot area. It was warm enough to sit and eat our picnic on the beach. We saw one of the largest container shops in the world come past, from Southampton, on its way to Algericas in Spain.

After lunch we walked back along the coast towards Exbury where this watch house sits on the shore, beneath a row of coastguard cottages, overlooking the Solent and the Isle of Wight.
