Life with The Pinks

Smiley men in a boat

The mini pinks have both had good days at their school/preschool. Master pink has been learning about bar-charts and he seems to have really enjoyed that. He's reading Julia Donaldson books this week in class and this weekend he has to do a book review on one of her stories. He's chosen "a squash and a squeeze".
Miss Pink played in the snow at pre-school, and helped her key-worker stick photos into her learning journey. Apparently she really enjoyed doing that, and she told me all about it at home time. She also did a beautiful drawing of our family; including me, mr pink, master pink, herself, and Grandma. And Grandma was looking after us all.
Back at home I had been emptying some of the boxes that stuff had been stored in while the builders were in. One of the boxes had some of the children's board games and puzzles in. So after school I left out the tap and hammer shapes and board as an invitation to create. They both had a go, and I was surprised how long master Pink stuck at it, perhaps it can be a creative go to for him. Miss Pink then had a turn and described her picture as a story to me:

"There are two smiley faced boys in the boats on the sea. And there are stars in the sky. In the sea there is a golden treasure coin (pointing to a red square). The smiley boys are eating cake because they are hungry."
