Good Karma Shawarma
Thank goodness for decent flatbreads which you can now but in the supermarket. It’s opened up some meal ideas in my mind!
This is my home cooking (well not cooking exactly , it’s home assembly). I used some vegan chicken’ strips which are delicious and moist, fried some shallots and a large yellow pepper. Topped with a dreamy pea and spinach dip and a little sweet chilli Thai sauce. The winning ingredient is the Giros dry spice mix I bought in a supermarket in Greece this summer!
It tastes fabulous and much better than a take away plus it’s relatively low in fat as I used spray oil. Definitely something I’ll make again.
I eat meat occasionally and I love my blu steaks but I have to say Veganuary 2020 has provided some fab choices for once in the supermarkets (I’m not participating in Veganuary btw). Long may such great and varied ranges of vegan food continue.
Had a very nice compliment at work today, unexpected, heartfelt and honest :-)
