Redpoll

Even though I was out today at badminton and the lodge, I've still wanted to use a blip from the garden. We had an invasion of redpolls this morning. Six of them! This is the male and I've put the female in Extras, along with a pair on the niger feeder.

For those not used to this bird, no, I haven't saturated the reds, the males really are this bright!

We had 15 species of birds in the garden today. I wonder where they will all disappear off to at the end of the month when we have the RSPB bird survey?
