This is the clogged up burner from our central heating boiler which runs on natural gas. The encrustation is a pale yellow colour reminiscent of elemental sulphur. The gas contains hydrocarbons and hydrogen sulphide. The latter could be the source of the encrustation. New parts arrive Monday.
