Half a world away

FaceTimed Isobel who is now in Cairns.
What I find astounding is the instantaneous feed like there’s no distance between us.
I realise it’d only take about a tenth of a second for the signal to travel the ten thousand miles or so - but what about all the processing and all the nodes and servers and stuff it has to get through - both there and back.
What an amazing time we are living in.
