Silly.....or is it?

The school playing field backs onto our garden, there are four very old apple trees just beyond the fence. The apples are very small but there are always lots of them, as they are not cared for they are not good quality.
Consequently they fall to the ground, in recent years the children were sent out to pick some up and bag them, and then dump them in a bin.
The last couple of years they have just been left to rot. The birds love them, so I just hope some bright spark doesn't decide the place needs "tiding up". They could be daft enough to cut the trees down,  one or two neighbours would really like that. Grrrrr.
That would be a very Silly, Saturday, or any day in my opinion.
