A good walk
As expected, it was sunny and bright but very cold this morning with frost. I had planned to take Gavin and Xena on a walk around Polesden Lacy, a National Trust property near us that is also a working farm, so the 5.5km walk went through woodlands, farmlands and open fields. There were quite a few people out walking with dogs, taking advantage of the beautiful weather after the horrible weather we had experienced during the week. We came across a family walking with a Vizsla, and we were laughing saying how it must be like looking into a mirror for the dogs as they looked exactly the same!
This image was taken as the light was filtering through the trees, and the extra shows the bright blue skies with some frost still remaining in the foreground.
After our walk we had a coffee at one of the cafes there (they have two cafes) before coming home. It was extremely muddy in parts so Xena had to have a wash down before coming in to the house.
A quiet evening at home tonight and another walk planned for tomorrow!
