Josie’s Moggy.
What a beautiful day. Wall to wall sunshine.
Visited the farm shop this morning, and our Grimsby fish man was there after being away since Christmas. He always takes a holiday at this time of year as the fishing boats don’t start bringing in their catch until the second week in January.
There was a long queue, and he had sold out of cod and haddock ( only 10am) so I bought two pieces of halibut for tonight’s fish curry.
Actually well worth the extra money.
After lunch I spent a couple of hours in the garden tidying up. How time flies. Although sunny it was quite cold.
Then did some baking. Josie’s Moggy is a favourite ginger cake. Perfect for cold weather.
Then made a rhubarb and orange crumble.
So tea sorted.
We are out walking tomorrow in Nidderdale.
Hope it will be another perfect winter’s day.
Looking forward to meeting up with the Pudseys again.
I don’t know if any Blippers have been watching Monty Don’s American Gardens, but what a fabulous programme. Not only some amazing gardens, but also learning something of the history of the country too.
So much better than I thought it was going to be.
If you haven’t seen it, watch it on Catchup.
