Spent a bit of time tonight trying some different effects with photos - different plants against the light; against a black velvet background, macro vs other lenses. Quite liked this one and then had a bit of a play in photoshop. It now looks like a painting as I can't draw or paint to save myself, I quite like it!

Dave home tomorrow all going well. His dad about the same and as Dave lacks leave, he has to get back to work. I know he has enjoyed being with his family even though it is a sad time.

9.15pm just had a 4.6 shallow quake centred not far from home. Very noisy and scary. Damn we haven't had one that bad for some time. Wish they would stop.
