Heard yesterday evening thatBT appointment definitely confirmed for 3 February. Hurray!
Arranged for upstairs flooring to be ordered and fitted and then we set off for a day out. Dovecot gallery first of all - interesting May Morris exhibition- some amazing hand embroidery as well as beautiful designs. Reminded me that I really want to get on a contemporary embroidery course. Good coffee and scone in the cafe and then on to John Lewis where I bought new boots in the sale and we started the search for a pattern and yarns for A and Ks slouchy cardigans. Lots more difficult than we imagined but eventually settled on a pattern , following advice from a couple of very helpful shops - others were less so. Looks like the best way to buy yarn is on line, unless you want ridiculously expensive stuff by Rowan. D found a possible mirror- though a little expensive. Ended up in Stockbridge where I collected paint charts for j and bought some earrings . Changed our dinner booking at Uni for an earlier time as we were already there. Really delicious meal - first time I ‘ve ever eaten Japanese - and very reasonably priced. Got the bus mist of the way home and settled to watch the Two Popes and do some browsing. Film good though not what I was expecting
