Pre-Raphaelite Hair
We popped down to London on the train for the day to see the Pre-Raphaelite Sisters exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery. I stood by this hole in the wall for a while waiting for somebody suitable to stand by Rossetti's Proserpine but was getting some strange looks from the attendants so had to move on. I was pleased with this one though, even though the visitor isn't actually looking at the painting and I had to do a clumsy edit to take out the edge of her friend. Mrsfb, who is much more knowledgeable than me about Pre-Raphaelite stuff, pointed out she has Pre-Raphaelite hair, which I hadn't noticed.
Afterwards we met up with daughter#1 and family for lunch and then a walk/play with the grandsons in Trafalgar Square. It was a lovely day, cold but very sunny. Joe is a bit of a rascal now that he can walk run. He can sense an open door from 100 metres and can make the distance in about 0.3 seconds. It's a good job he has big brother Rory to help keep tabs on him.
We had to travel from Kingham to London as there were no trains on our preferred Oxford Parkway route. It was better than I expected though. The ticket office at Kingham was actually open, and there were plenty of empty seats on what seemed to be quite a new train. It was busier on the return journey and we had to move along to the next carriage to get off at Kingham so they must be longer than they used to be. I left my beanie hat on the train though, second time I have done that. Good job I bought a bulk order after the last time. Two left now. I will re-order after I lose another one.
