What a lovely crisp winters day for a bike ride, except there is ice still on the paths so I took the mountain bike out for an hour - the road bike is off limits today. Worked all morning on a proposal and now after a break I am about to start work on my teaching notes for tomorrow, it’ll be a long Sunday. Saw 1917 yesterday but didn’t get round to taking a blip, what men had to experience at such an early age back then was truly astonishing. Constantly faced with death each day but showing extremes of bravery, what a different world we live in today.
