Travel
We came back from Tampere to Edinburgh today, flying via Heathrow. It was more than 11 hours door to door, but quite relaxed. The busiest spot was Tampere railway station at 9.45, as it was crowded with people heading both for the train south, which we were catching, which was nearly full and a train north. When I say a train is 'full', that means almost all of the seats are taken. None of you standing in the ends of carriages as per many intercity trains in the UK.
Our flight to Heathrow went from the newly opened non-Schengen pier in Helsinki's Terminal Two, and that's where I got my blip. Lots of funky features, like seats and recharging modules (see extra) offering two different takes on the pine tree. Neither flight was busy and on both we had the middle seat free between us.
All in all, very uneventful travel. I like it like that.
It was freezing in the flat when we got home, so we pretty much went straight to bed (although that was freezing too, at least to start with).
