Red sky

Wow! Such a super sky at sunset! I’m just back from a quick outing to get some butter (to make an apple and cinnamon crumble) and had to make a quick diversion to the duck pond on the way home to capture this sky.

I’m so glad I’d brought my phone with me! The purple-blue and red sky just shouted out for a blip. Otherwise today has been fairly uneventful: out to church, back to help the Ards Man demolish some bedroom furniture....well, that sounds worse than it was. We just took our bed apart to shift it out of the room and have it ready for ‘up-cycling’ as it’s going to be painted an ivory colour. It is pine at the moment and the wood is nice, but we’ve had the bedstead for over twenty years and we’re ready for a wee change!

So the bedroom redecoration is still a work in progress and it’s probably going to get worse before it gets better!

At least we’ll have some fruit crumble for dessert later - comfort food. :)
