White and gold

Another very hard white frost this morning, with plenty of sun, but the sky took a long time shaking off a thin net of clouds so first thing there was white and gold, but very little blue.  The ice lasted at least till lunchtime and the sky is completely clear now, but I gues we know this run of shining days is on its way.

Still, here once again is the nature reserve as the sun appeared.  A beautiful morning to be out in.  The rest of the day has been reasonably uneventful but what with one thing and another I've bumped into so many friends on my travels it's reminded me why I love living here.
