Mallard Duck
After a very lazy day yesterday, I decided I'd better have some exercise this morning, so I took a walk up the road to the Lambourn river which is only a few minutes away with some bread for the ducks.
There were only 3 ducks, but they were very pleased to see the bread. They seemed somewhat reluctant to get out of the water, but this one did. See some other shots here in my folio.
Some more snowy scenes here as well :)
I cannot decide which image to use today, you may find its changed again later.... Any suggestions?
It was nothing like this in the Summer!
Feeling exhausted just after that little walk and aching in places I don't normally, but I think its walking in the snow that causes that! Sleepy too...
The question is, shall I attempt to drive out this afternoon or tonight?
According to my lovely neighbour who I saw again this morning, its alright after we get off our little close and the road which leads into it....but I'm still really nervous! Its thawing, but sleeting/snowing at the same time, which I know will mean ICE later....
I am supposed to be doing my 'Creative' slot with Street Pastors tonight from 11pm til 12pm, but I'm really nervous about driving on the ice (especially at that time of night) before I get to the main road (and then the church carpark will be a nightmare), so I think it will have to happen another week which is really annoying!!! If I was doing the normal 6 hour shift, then I'd be able to go and come back with someone else, but as its only for an hour....
Think I might watch Miss Potter this afternoon....and may do some housework but I'm off to have some Covent Garden Butternut Squash and Smokey Bacon soup now :)
Have a great day blippers and stay safe :)
