Box Hill Fort
I stopped off at Box Hill on the way home, and tried out some of the “scenic” modes on the new toy. This is apparently “Grainy Film 1” and has exaggerated the brick (rhymes with quick, for today’s mono Monday challenge) on one of the entrances to the “Box Hill Fort”, a military ammunition store built around 1892 as part of the London Defence Scheme. It was never used, and is now home to a colony of bats.
Although in the care of the National Trust, it looks a bit derelict, so it also provides an entry for this week’s Derelict Sunday challenge.
