Sociable Social evening

A small group of church members were out on the town(!) For a meal tonight. It was good to be able to have a natter with people we don't often have chance to talk to for long. The lovely man who normally organizes these events for us is very poorly. Very sad.

On another note, it was the second session of the dementia course I lead today. I was very moved when one of the ladies on the course whose mother has dementia, shared with us that she tried at the weekend something that We talked about in last weeks session. She says that she thinks about her mother being in her own little bubble when the dementia seems to be in control, so she decided to go with her mum into the world where she was - to join her in the bubble - instead of trying to bring her back into the world we perceive to be the place to be. She said it was difficult to start with but it worked and became much more comfortable than the relationship had been for a long time. She was so pleased.
