Wage slip ...

Looking for something in my briefcase I found this old wage slip, must have kept it for sentimental reasons.

It dates back to 1969, when I worked for Littlewoods Mail order, in the office. My take home pay was the grand total of 9 pounds 3 shillings and 4 pence, of which I handed over 1 pound 10 shillings, to my mum for board and lodgings.

The breakdown is
Basic pay 8.19.0
Bonus 2. 3.8
Tax 1. 3. 0
Pension 0. 2. 2
NHI 0. 15.0

this is all in old pounds, shillings and pence, how much does this equate to today!
