The half-model for the new build
This is the traditional method of setting up a new boat. A "half-model" is carved out of a soft wood. This was actually the fourth on the builder produced before he was happy. How the design is transferred to paper is well explained here: http://www.halfhullshipmodels.com
For "commercial reasons" the builder has asked me not to show you any closer details of the plans, or what the finished vessel will actually look like until it is finished. I can say that stem to stern on deck she will be about 31 feet (9.4m), about 40 feet (12.1m) including bowsprit. The displacement will be 10 tonnes and the lead keel weighs about 3.5 tonnes.
