On the way to Bronant
I took a stroll around the farm this afternoon - you could have followed my tracks in the snow as I headed south across Banc Rich to the southern boundary stream and circled back along the 'beech lane' under my house - which continues along the dogs-leg of our real lane and on, northwards across another field. Here, I angled left towards Bronant and down the hill to the lake (where I disturbed half a dozen teal, and then a buzzard on the island), circling the lake and cutting back across a couple of fields to my cottage. Looking back north from the gateway between those two fields I captured this rather dated, pastoral view of the cottage between us and the village.
