Purple Tulip on the Windowsill

It was a funny weather day today - it would pour, then the sun would pop out for a few minutes, and sometimes it rained while it was sunny (of course the sky wasn't completely blue!) and a rainbow would appear. I never seemed to time getting outside when it wasn't pouring. But I eyed this tulip on my kitchen counter this morning as a likely subject of today's blip. It's in that pot of forced bulbs that I bought from Trader Joe's (a US chain of food stores) a couple of weeks back...the little daffodils, hyacinth and now two tulips! What joy in a pot all for $8.99! Furthermore it's given me some fun shots while recovering from this darned cold!
