Apparently shaking your Y-Fronts menacingly at the Delph Pond swans gets their goat up* just as waving a red rag at a bull does.

Actually, the nice wee man was just sharing out some bits of bread with the swans, the ducks, the gulls and the rats that are eeking out a meagre existence in amongst the ice-bound traffic cones, trolleys, empty Buckfast bottles and Warburton's packaging down at the local beauty spot.

Took a chilly wander around the village trying to catch that elusive snow everyone's on about, but it had all melted away by the time I'd had my leisurely breakfast and three cups of coffee.

Perfect weather for a few more cups of coffee and a movie though and was watching some very clever stuff on Youtube this afternoon. A couple of guys have taken it on to themselves to recreate the whole of the first Toy Story with real toys. The attention to every detail of the original is amazing and, despite it being (charmingly) rough around the edges it's a fantastic production and a real labour of love from the two chaps involved. Well worth a watch it is.

*Not sure if swans can get their goat up, but they'll probably break your arm if they do.
