Crossrail

Since mid December 2019 Crossrail trains have been running between Paddington and Reading. TfL have taken over most of the stopping services on this route from GWR.

Unfortunately the carriages have been designed to carry the maximum number of (standing) people sardines with very little or no consideration for comfort. What might be suitable for a few minutes on an underground train in central London is less acceptable for a journey taking 45 to 50 minutes.

Thankfully I am not one of the sardines expected to use this service on a daily basis during the rush hour.
