Fortunately as we were flying to Port Elizabeth this morning I had time to get my daily notes back up to date as two days were lost when the old BB gave up the ghost.

The air in the hotel reception was filled with the smell of freshly baking pastries as I bought two warm apple Danish and a couple of coffees for breakfast in our room.

We slowly got ready to leave for the airport and left at around ten thirty. When we arrived the airport was deserted so we were processed with speed and quickly made our way to the lounge where I started to rewrite my notes and fathom out how best to attach photographs etc.etc. I'm glad to say that things sort of came together but so far it's not as simple as using the old Blackberry.

The flight was quick and easy and time passed with the blink of an eye as it always does when I'm tapping away on the key pad or should I say touchscreen.

Port Elizabeth Airport did not look inviting as we walked across the tarmac from the plane. The weather seems to be getting worse by the day and to be fair to Port Elizabeth nowhere is at its best when clouded in a miserable cold drizzle.

Hurrah again for Uber taxis as we got to Treetops Guesthouse within minutes where we stood shivering at the gate waiting to be let in. Goodness only knows, why it took so long to answer the door despite my continual pressing of the bell phone calls texts and emails. Anyway a very apologetic man finally let us in. This is another nice Guesthouse which will suit us well for the next two nights or three nights.

We chatted to Steve the loo owner who emigrated from England with his parents when he was just twelve years old. He supplied Ros with more brochures to study and gave us some ideas of what we can do during our stay. Port Elizabeth is a small town and as the Guesthouse is in the suburbs Steve said that it is quite safe to walk to and return from the restaurants which are a stones throw away. This we did and had a pleasant evening despite having to sit inside as it was cold outside.
