Or quite possibly dead.  At any rate it kept perfectly still while I took an image with my less than perfect camera.  I know, I know, I'm stressing needlessly.  But I used to do this sort of stuff so well!  VodkaMan would despair if he saw my work these days.

Quite small - possibly a cutworm moth of some sort.
