Still Catching Up

Another Backblip - I promise I will be all sorted by tonight with added pickers (if anyone is interested …. but I doubt it).

Breakfast at the hotel was okay - but not up to the quality I would have expected from a hotel of its standing.
A buffet where too much had been cooked at once and put out so some stuff was cool rather than  hot, tattie scones you could use as shoe leather, haggis that was left as an industrial sized 'tube' with no attempt to break it up, no fresh fruit salad …. tinned! and jam and marmalade in small plastic tubes that came out like water.
In the daylight you could see the dust covered spiders webs above the lights in the bedroom and the threadbare/dirty carpets in some of the corridors. Also no way to get to reception from the outside without using stairs ……. disabled people beware!

On the way home we stopped at 'The Pineapple' (when we eventually found the entrance) - a strange, intriguing place.

Time was spent late afternoon processing some images and then it was off to camera club for a competition with 'the old club'. We won! - and got back the trophy that I made a number of years ago (another 3 years and a new one will need to be made as there will be no room for any more plaques).
The judge was consistent - with her poor judging. The first thing she needs to do is go and learn about the physics of light.
