Abstract Thursday - Nature
These very large seed pods are from a tree at our favourite lake. Not sure of its name, the flower looks like a Norfolk Island hibiscus but it has these huge seed pods which are not the same as the Norfolk.
Through the macro you can see this has an interesting shell all cracked and lumpy and makes a good abstract, inside it has a lovely velvety lining. We will probably go back there this weekend and I’ll be looking for one that still has the seeds. This one was on the ground and is empty but there are still unopened ones on the tree so I might be lucky to get one half opened.
I’ve put a couple of shots in extras - one of a longer shot of the pod and one of the actual tree with all the pods just for perspective ;o)
Thanks to ingeborg for hosting AT ;o)x
