Good advice

Just as well that there was a gate, with a lock, and a sign. Otherwise the pond would have been overrun with swimmers today.

I made it out for a run on Ascot Heath, and I can certainly see why the horse racing was called off! The course was coated in snow and was certainly not suited to the thundering hooves of horses jumping fences.

It was much more suited to families and dogs. Local families were out walking running sliding and sledging. It didn't matter if grass was poking through, as any slight incline was in use!

The lack of local football matches meant that I was able to have a super long lie-in and read a book, which was a lovely treat.
