Tree Cutting in John Muir Country Park

These are the tyre tracks of the tree cutting machine they are currently using in John Muir Country Park. There are notices everywhere warning t you of the tree cutting operations which are intended to thin out the trees to promote further growth. Whilst the tyre tracks are rather distinctive the machine itself operated by a single person is amazing (see extra). Within one or two minutes it cuts down a tree; strips it of its branches and cuts in up into approximately six feet lengths. So much for lumberjacks
