Spending a couple of days near Kirkcaldy while Mike goes to a Jacobean crewel work course. It's taking place at the Wemyss School of Needlework, which is a fascinating place, set up in 1877 to teach local girls how to sew, so that they could earn a living. The menfolk were all working in the coal mines, but no work for the women. Wonderful examples of very old needlework too.
Lottie and I have had time to go for walks, knit, read and do the laundry! When we went to collect Mike I bought a small embroidery kit. One can never have too many projects to choose from!
