January Meerkat Meal

As has become traditional Kerri organises a Meerkat meal for a motley crew who don't get together as a group except for this purpose once a year.  If friendship groups were plotted in Venn diagrams then there would be members of several different  'sets' in this one and I love it for that very reason.

There were a few mistakes and confusions over the meals as they were served but nothing compared to trying to work out the bill, which the restaurant had presented in two parts to calculate the Meerkat discount but which had been worked out wrong.  After sending it back, we then had to work out who owed what according to whether they were drinking or not...and then collect the cash/credit cards in.  We were the last in the restaurant by at least an hour and the poor waitress had her coat before we did.
