Recently resurfaced

The end of a working week, and three days off loom. Monday is Auckland Anniversary Day. Although late home becaus eof all the paperwork, I went to Western Springs Lake, where I saw one of the young dabchicks (Weweia). It seems to have been left to fend for itself, and certainly seems well able to do that.
