Giant meringue

Walking through town today I was stopped by a man handing out giant meringues. Ooh lovely :-)
The weird thing is that I have no idea why! They appear to be from Warrens Bakery, and came with a voucher for money off their Cornish pasties, as they are apparently the oldest Cornish pastie makers in the world. So I thought perhaps he was promoting a local bakery.... but the nearest branches are in Canterbury or Ashford.
Anyway, I’m enjoying it as an afternoon snack :-)
