Spring blossom in January !

The prunus trees at the Mattemburgh Estate are in full bloom, which is totally ridiculous in January, but is certainly nice to see on another grey wet and water cold day. We had a tour with the head gardener to see what has changed or will change this year.

Spring blossom is rather appropriate for Lunar New Year too and it's already the 25th in China, Vietnam, Japan, Malaysia and Singapore and their Lunar New Year, the Year of the Rat , has started. Gong Xi Fa Cai, Happy New Year ! See my card for Lunar New Year in the extras :-)
